What is a 3D signboard?
A 3D signboard uses letters and logo shapes that stand out from the wall instead of being printed flat. Each letter is cut to the shape of your logo and font, given depth with side walls, and fixed to the building one by one or on a backing panel. You will also hear it called 3D signage, 3D lettering signage or 3D box up lettering.
3D box up, 3D acrylic and channel letters
- 3D box up letters: solid letters with depth. They can stay unlit or be lit from outside with spotlights.
- 3D acrylic signage: letters cut from thick acrylic, glossy and clean, popular for reception walls and indoor logos.
- Channel letters: hollow letters with LED lights inside. A front-lit letter glows through its face; a backlit letter, also called halo-lit, shines onto the wall behind it.
- 3D logo with LED light: your logo as a lit 3D shape next to the letters, so the brand mark stands out at night.

3D signboard design
A good 3D signboard design starts with your logo. Clear, bold shapes work best; very thin lines and small details may need to be simplified so they can be cut and fixed properly. We show you the letter height, depth and lighting on a photo of your wall before anything is made, so you can see how the sign will look.
